Mardaani had an average opening on the first day. The film collected approximately 3.75 crores according to early estimates on Day 1 at the Box Office. The film released in around 1300 plus screens. While the morning show occupancy for Mardaani was decent, it could not pick up much in the evening and late evenings, hence resulting to a poor collections.

Mardaani has received some good critics reviews, but the film will pick up over the weekend only if the word of mouth remains positive and strong. Being a women centric film, Mardaani has scored more on the opening day over the likes of Queen, Gulaab Gang which was also had a female lead. Similar to Queen, Mardaani may too experience jump over the weekend as the word of mouth spreads.
