Three films released this Friday, Mardaani , MAD (Mad About Dance) and Katiyabaaz. Out of the three with majority of screens i.e releasing in over 1300 screens, Mardaani had a decent occupancy for morning shows. The film is not expected to have a exceptional opening, but will be highly dependent on word of mouth publicity and thus may pick up by evening.
Mardaani has released primarily in multiplexes and a handful of single screens. It is expected to perform best in metors like Mumbai and Delhi.

The other release MAD had a dull opening considering that it is low on star quotient and lacked the quality to create much buzz. Disappointingly, evn though the film is a dance film, the music was not upto the mark and thus the film has failed to create any stir. It has little scope to pick up by evening but no miraculous figures are expected from the film.

Performing even worse is the documentary Katiyabaaz which has got a poor screen count due to Mardaani and MAD. Even though the film was received well by the critics, the film has only a handful of shows in Mumbai to even make decent collections.
