Malang Box Office Day 14: Aditya Roy Kapur-Disha Patani’s Film Has A Decent Second Week

With Malang, Aditya Roy Kapur has managed a success after a really long time and Disha Patani too has gained credibility as a solo leading lady

Malang Box Office: Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani starrer had a decent second week at the box office as over 13 crores came in. The first week billing was 39.65 crores and though the weekdays trending had suggested a better second weekend, somehow the numbers didn’t reach an optimal level. Still, the failure of Love Aaj Kal meant that there was still a benefit of 3-4 crores that came in and as a result the weekdays of the second week have turned it to be relatively stabler.

The Mohit Suri directed film has so far collected 53.50 crores and has emerged as a coverage affair. Aditya Roy Kapur has managed a success after a really long time, Disha Patani has gained credibility as a solo leading lady, Kunal Kemmu is staying on to be reliable in a ensemble set up while Anil Kapoor has yet again showed that he is a powerhouse performer.

It would have helped had the film managed to go past the lifetime numbers of Mohit Suri’s last release Half Girlfriend which had managed to touch the 60 crores mark. However, for now it would comfortably go past the 55 crores mark and then collect 3-4 crores more.
