Ajay Devgn’s mega Eid release, Maidaan, is now just 5 days away from arriving on the big screen. Considering the long weekend, the film needs to display a strong performance at the Indian box office, and for that, momentum is necessary during the advance booking. But is it going on the right track? Let’s find out!
After crossing several hurdles, the biographical sports drama is finally ready for release. For a sports drama genre, this Ajay Devgn starrer is an expensive affair. It’s a film with high production value, so a strong run from the opening day will make a big difference.
Coming to the advance booking update, tickets for limited shows are now available on the online ticket booking platforms. As of now, Maidaan has sold over 5,500 tickets across the country for day 1. It equals a sale of over 10.65 lakh gross (excluding blocked seats).

Currently, Maidaan is moving at a decent speed, considering the availability of limited shows. However, whenever the number of shows increases, the film must pick up the pace and put on a good number in pre-sales.
Directed by Amit Sharma, Maidaan is scheduled to release on 10th April. Apart from Ajay Devgn, the film also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in key roles.
Apart from Maidaan, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is also releasing on 10th April. Since the Eid weekend is long, both films can enjoy a good run at the box office. Also, both films have their primary audience segment in different sections. While the Ajay Devgn starrer will be enjoyed majorly by the viewers in the urban centers, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s film will target the mass centers.
