Thalapathy Vijay has been creating a riot with Leo box office numbers in India and worldwide. But in a surprising move, the film has been performing brilliantly in Hindi as well. Despite the Hindi dub not getting a release in National Cinema Chains PVR, Cinepolis, and INOX, the film has been churning out great numbers.
The film opened at 3 crores (revised number) in Hindi on day 1, and it took full advantage of the Dussehra holiday, as it posted a similar number on the board.

Yes, Leo earned 3 crores on the sixth day, October 24, Tuesday which was a Dussehra holiday, and the numbers prove that Thalapathy Vijay‘s film is successful and being loved by single-screen audiences in the Hindi belt.

Interestingly, this 3 crore collection on the 6th day is also the same number as it collected on the first Sunday. The Lokesh Kanagaraj‘s film collected 3 crores on day 4, Sunday. While the film opened at 3 crores on the opening day, it earned 2.35 crores on the second day, which was a working day.
On the third day, which was a Saturday, the film again took a jump and collected 3 crores. While the film registered an extended weekend of 11.35 crores, it has taken the total to 16.35 crores net (revised number) in six days.

These numbers are witness to the fact that the Hindi audiences chose Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo over Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s Ganapath. While Leo has not been released in national cinemas, it has been bringing these great numbers to the table by captivating the single-screen audience.
The film also stars Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist. Sanju Baba has been loved by his target audience for the villainous characters ever since he played Kancha Cheena in Agneepath. He was loved as Adheera in the Telugu film KGF: Chapter 2.
Leo is Dutt’s first Tamil film as an antagonist. This is probably also one of the reasons why Thalapathy Vijay’s film has been received well in the Hindi circuit.
The film was assumed to be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, where Karthi’s Kaithi and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram already have their worlds intertwined. However, Leo left behind all the assumed theories.
The film has Thalapathy Vijay playing Parthiban, mistaken as Leo Das by his gangster brothers Antony Das, played by Sanjay Dutt, and Harold Das, played by Arjun Sarja. What follows next in a classic case of mistaken ideas makes up for an interesting watch.
