Rajinikanth, Vishnu Vishal, and Vikranth’s Lal Salaam, as well as Manikandan and Gouri Priya Reddy’s Lover, were released during Valentine’s week. Lal Salaam, directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, had a higher face value and therefore dominated Lover at the box office. Despite the advantage, the cricket drama did not earn as much money as expected.

Despite facing competition from a major movie, Lover managed to generate revenue. The film’s theme possibly resonated well with Valentine’s Day and thus had a positive impact on its performance. Directed by Prabhuram Vyaas, Lover was a contemporary romance drama.

Lal Salaam’s 1st Week Box Office collections

The movie, on its Day 7 (1st Thursday), collected 0.92 crore, witnessing an approximately 24% drop from its Wednesday collections. Lal Salaam now stands at a net India total of 15.08 crore at the Box office. The film earned 13.73 Crore from its Tamil version and roughly 1.35 crore from the Telugu version. After grossing 15.68 crore in India, the movie added 7.32 crore from overseas collections, bringing its worldwide total to 23 crore in just 7 days.

Lover’s 1st Week Box Office collections

After a mild pick-up on Valentine’s Day, the movie’s collections saw a drop on Day 7 (1st Thursday). Lover collected 0.29 crore yesterday, taking the film’s net India total to 4.38 crore at the Box Office.

Lover might end its box office run at 6 crore max, while Lal Salaam at 17 crore.
