Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 knew what it was up against when it decided to rush up its release for 22nd January. It was pretty much on the cards that critical response would be on the negative for the film, while competition with Airlift would be massive as well. Still, to encash on its status as the first adult comedy of the year, it came up with a sudden announcement of its release plans, and then stuck to it.

As a result, the film currently stands at 20.15 crore mark (Sunday : 6.50 cr). On Friday, the film had primarily attracted that segment of audience which it was catering to. However, it was massive fall from this point on, as evidenced in Saturday and Sunday collections. Reason being that there were better expectations from the franchise affair that was promoted as India’s first ever porn-com. The film would gain some numbers from the Republic Day holiday but looking at the weekend trend, collections over the weekdays are set to be on a lower side..

Next week arrives Mastizaade, which again belongs to the same genre, and it would be interesting to see how Kya Kool Hain Hum battles out with the Milap Zaveri directed film which has Sunny Leone as an added attraction, and that too in a double role.
