Dealing with the grave India-Pakistan issue, Kya Dilli Kya Lahore had low opening at the box office. The film collected merely 8 Lacs on its opening day at the Domestic Box Office. Not being a out and out commercial film, it was expected from the film to have a low occupancy.

The film directed by Vijay Raaz and also starring himself and Manu Rishi in lead roles is a rather serious story dealing with the Ino-Pak issue in a different way. The film definitely received good responses from the critics. But the film not being a typical mainstream Bollywood film suffered at the box office.

Also the release of the superhero film The Amazing Spiderman 2 robbed off its chances to woo the audiences. This film may have a decent weekend collection if it receives a good positive word of mouth.
