The Kung Fu Panda franchise released their fourth installment last month, and it is doing quite well at the box office. It has recently crossed an important milestone. The animated film franchise has been a tremendous commercial success, and people love seeing their adorable Po the Panda fight bad guys on the big screen. It takes a lot to bring to life the characters on screen. Let us take a look at the budget of the four films here.

The first film in the franchise came out in 2008, and the movie has earned more than $2 billion globally. Jack Black voices the giant panda, and the ensemble cast includes Angelina Jolie as Master Tigress, Seth Rogan as Master Mantis, Lucy Liu voices Master Crane, Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, Jackie Chan as Master Monkey and Randall Duk Kim voices Grand Master Oogway. Ian McShane did a commendable job voicing the antagonist Tai Lung in the Kung Fu Panda.

In Kung Fu Panda 4, Awkwafina and Viola Davis joined Jack Black as the ensemble cast alongside Hoffman and James Hong. It was released in the theatres last month and has now crossed $400 million at the worldwide box office. As per The Numbers’ data, it had the lowest budget in the franchise. The movie had been made on a reported budget of $85 million. The global cume as per Deadline stands at $410.4 million.
