Now, it’s pretty much visible that the year to year Bollywood business in the last 3-4 years has improved big time. 2018’s first-half total is more than 2019’s but that will balance up in coming days as Kabir Singh still has a lot of steam remaining before it cools down.

But the only reason why 2019 is struggling to cross the total of 2018 is no film this year could cross the 300 crores mark. While 2018 had Padmaavat and Sanju, 2019 had only Bharat with potential to cross 300 crores mark. However, the content of the film didn’t get that much appreciation and it just managed to cross 200 crores mark.

The extraordinary success of URI: The Surgical Strike and Kabir Singh has helped the industry to a great extent and the films like Total Dhamaal, Kesari, Gully Boy & De De Pyaar De also contributed well but just because Bharat underperformed, 2019 is still struggling to make a lead.

We hope the next half of 2019 comes out with a lot of surprises and some big blockbusters so that the business in Bollywood keeps on blooming.
