Kochadaiiyaan Has A Limited Occupancy In Hindi, Big Opening In South

Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan opened to a limited occupancy in the Hindi version. However, the film as expected had a bumper opening in the South. Morning shows for the Hindi release received a low footfall what with just 20-25% occupancy. Although the film has been targeted at major multiplexes, the occupancy in the multiplexes too were low. Nevertheless, it is expected to pick up in the evening shows.

Kochadaiiyaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone opposite Rajinikanth, has limited shows in North circuits, especially in the rural areas and single screens out there as the main focus being on metros.

Being a Rajinikanth film, the Tamil release has fared extremely well in its morning shows. In fact, the shows were housefull already in the cities of Bangalore and Hyderabad. By evening as all the Rajni fans will be flocking to the theaters, the South version will have a massive opening figure.

Surprisingly, the screen count of Kochadaiiyaan’s Hi di release are less than Rajinikanth’s last release Robot. It is yet to see if the film will surpass Robot’s opening day collections in Hindi or not.
