A new trailer was released at the Comic Con, and the fans are all hyped up about it. According to Deadline’s report, the film is looking to open to $54 million$61 million in North America. This Planet of the Apes franchise was rebooted in 2001, with Tim Burton as director and Mark Wahlberg as the lead.

As per Box Office Mojo, the 2001 movie earned $68.53 million at the domestic box office and $362.2 million worldwide. The franchise returned with Rise of the Planet of the Apes in 2011 after a decade of the 2001 flick with Andy Serkis as the fan-favorite gorilla, Caeser. It also featured James Franco as the lead, and the film opened at $54.8 million. It was followed by 2014’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, which opened to $72.6 million, and 2017’s War of the Planet of the Apes, which opened to $56.2 million.
