Khandaani Shafakhana Box Office Day 3: Sonakshi Sinha’s Film Is A Disaster

Audiences have just not come in and now one waits to see how does it do on the digital and satellite platform.

Khandaani Shafakhana led by Sonakshi Sinha has emerged as a major disaster at the box office. The film has just not taken any kind of start whatsoever and its follow through over the weekend has been very poor as well.

The weekend numbers of this Shilpi Dasgupta directed film is a mere 2.75 crores* which pretty much tells the tale. In fact this should have been the first day numbers for the film and even then one would have expected a jump over the weekend to help it cover some sort of distance. However in case of Khaandaani Shafakhaana, there is just no momentum.

In fact the collections are way too and better only than Sonakshi Sinha’s earlier release Welcome To New York which had collected 1.80 crores in its opening weekend. That said, the numbers are lesser than her Noor where again she was the central protagonist. That film gathered 5.52 crores in its opening weekend but the way Khaandaani Shafakhaana is going, it would find it difficult to have this as a lifetime number.

What is ironic is that compared to aforementioned films, Khaandaani Shafakhaana still has some sort of better entertainment quotient. Moreover, Sonakshi has done well too as an actress. Still, audiences have just not come in and now one waits to see how does it do on the digital and satellite platform.
