Kabir Singh Box Office Day 5: It has done the unthinkable. If before release the makers and everyone else associated with the film would have been told that the film would do the business of around 100 crores, they would have been quite content. However, Box Office has his own ways of throwing a surprise and that has been shown all over again, what with the film managing to cross this mark in 5 days flat!
On Tuesday, the film was extraordinarily strong as there was practically negligible dip from Monday numbers of 17.54 crores. The collections were to the tune of 16.53 crores which is mind blowing. Never has a film opened to an excess of 20 crores on Friday and then even on its fifth day has fallen by less than 20%. However that has happened now with Kabir Singh which is now clearly a Blockbuster in the making.
The Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer has collected 104.90 crores already and would comfortably cross the 130 crores mark before the first week is through. Considering the fact that Bharat, an Eid release for family entertainer, collected 150 crores in its first week, this is a remarkable feat indeed for the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directed Kabir Singh which was made for adult audiences and saw a regular Friday release.
