Recently we saw the trailer of Walt Disney’s live action remake of the 1967 animated film The Jungle Book. Based on Rudyard Kipling’s book by the same name, this 3D version of the fantasy film has already gathered a lot of buzz and is slated to hit the theaters on April 15th, next year.

Interestingly, on the same day, Bollywood will have its big release, Fan starring Shah Rukh Khan. Helmed by Maneesh Sharma, the film stars Shah Rukh Khan in a double role as himself and his biggest fan. Since the film is literally selling the concept of Shah Rukh Khan’s fandom on-screen, it has created a huge hype.

Since Shah Rukh already had the Eid slot booked for his other film, Raees, this film will be hitting the theaters in April.

The Jungle Book and Fan both will hold importance since it is a clash of SRK’s fans against everyone’s childhood that was colored by Mowgli. Touted to consist of some never-seen-before special effects, The Jungle Book will attract kids as well as adults both. Also coming from Jon Favreau, the director of hit superhero series Iron Man, the direction is expected to be flawless.
