This week was a Friday boom as there were too many releases to tackle at the box office. Among the Hollywood releases, none could stand in front of Hugh Jackman starrer The Wolverine. Jackman who shied away from the last X Men edition, was at his full blown best. The film opened to an approximate of 50% occupancy at the box office in India.
However, the Hindi releases were comparatively dull this week. Among Bajatey Raho, Issaq and Nasha, the occupancy recorded was the best for Bajatey Raho which is estimated at 20% – 25%. Nasha opened well at single screens but Issaq with its uninteresting ambiance and not an overtly positive reviews isn’t faring exceedingly well.
Among the Bollywood releases, it is still Bhaag Milkha Bhaag people are seeking out given the positive reviews about the film. Even last week’s films D-Day and Ramaiya Vastavaiya sagged at the box office.
