Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania has been rock steady over the first week. As per early estimates, the film made a business of approx 4.50 crores on its 1st Wednesday i.e. yesterday. After its six days’ run at the Domestic Box Office, the film stands with a total collection of around 49.09 crores nett.
The Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan starrer has now surpassed the lifetime collections of Sunny Leone’s Ragini MMS 2 which collected 47 crores at the domestic box office.

With this, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania has evicted Ragini MMS 2 from 2014’s Highest Grossers’ List and become 10th highest grosser of the year so far. The romantic comedy struck a nerve with the audiences thanks to its DDLJ style plot. Gaining a good chunk of audience in the North circuit, it has pulled off a good business in its first week.
