Ranbir’s claim to fame to be the first actor post-2000 to complete the 2000 crore box office is only Animal. The film and its 500 crore at the box office accelerated his pace at the box office, and he finished this race first, pulling the last gear in the final moment,

In 2001, with Subhash Ghai’s ambitious film Yaadein, where he played Ronit Malhotra, Hrithik faced his first defeat. The film served us some great music, but it collected around 14.50 crore at the box office and was a flop.

The other big disaster of his career was Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Guzaarish, which was made on a budget of almost 60 crore but collected only around 28 – 29 crore at the box office.
