After Ajay Devgn’s enthralling performance in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, fans have been eagerly waiting for his next film Maidaan to be released in theatres. The actor will be playing the role of a football coach in the Amit Sharma directorial film.

Ajay Devgn on Saturday took to Instagram and shared an update about the film Maidaan, which was previously scheduled to be released on August 13, 2021 in theatres. Now the latest update reveals that the film will be released on Dussehra 2021, i.e., October 15.

In the post, the actor also shared that the shooting schedule of the film will start in January next year. Sharing the poster on Instagram, he wrote, “Maidaan now releases worldwide in theatres on Dussehra 2021. Shoot commences January 2021.”

Ajay Devgn’s new film Maidaan will be helmed by Amit Sharma and co-produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. The film is reportedly inspired by the Indian national football team coach and manager Syed Abdul Rahim, who is regarded as the architect of Indian football.
