As expected, Housefull 3 saw an upswing in collections on Saturday. The signs were there on Friday evening itself when audience footfalls started increasing with every passing show.
This was further consolidated on Saturday morning when the collections turned out to be better when compared to Friday morning. Moreover, with the film catering to the family audience, it was pretty much on the cards that Saturday would enjoy better collections than Friday.

This was pretty much evidenced when the Sajid-Farhad directed film managed to bring in 16.3 crore on Saturday. As a result, the film now stands at 31.5 crore. What makes these numbers further special is the fact that Housefull 3 has now enjoyed the highest Saturday of 2016 so far, hence beating Fan [15.4 crore] and Akshay’s own Airlift [14.6 crore].

This has helped the Sajid Nadiadwala and Eros film gain a good enough footing from which it can consolidate further on Sunday.
Ideal collections for the multi-starrer led by Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan and Jacqueline Fernandez would be to bring on 20 crore more today, which would be quite good. Since Housefull 3 is the kind of film which has its maximum audience reserved for Sunday, it would be quite interesting to see the kind of journey it enjoys from here.
