The Box Office trend has shown a significant change since this year. Hollywood films’ business in India is not just flourishing but giving a tough competition to Bollywood films too. 2016 has turned out to be one of the best years for Hollywood in India.

Recent release Conjuring 2 has managed to collect 62 crores at the box office. Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan starrer Te3n, which clashed with Conjuring 2, just collected around 18 crores at the box office.

Hollywood’s Adventure fantasy flick The Jungle Book, which released in April (just a week before Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan), has raked in 183.94 crores at the domestic box office, while Fan couldn’t even touch the 100 crore mark.

Similaryly, the American superhero flick Captain America: Civil War also performed extremely well in India by collecting 59 crores, whereas, 1920 London and Traffic despite releasing on the same day couldn’t make notable business.

These Hollywood flicks have performed better than Bollywood’s films which had good starcast like Azhar (33 crores), Sarbjit (29 crores), Jai Gangaajal (38 crores), Ghayal Once Again (40 crores), Ki And Ka (52 crores approx) and Fitoor (18.61 crores).

Will Hollywood takeover the Box Office in India or will Bollywood win its position back? Well, only time will tell!
