Hindi Medium China Box Office: Hindi Medium has been sailing smooth at the China box office since its release. This Irrfan Khan starrer has emerged as a sweet surprise in China as well. When it seemed the movie is starting to slow down it just went on to collect double on Saturday than what it did on Friday.
On its 2nd Friday Hindi Medium collected USD $ 0.62 million and this is where everyone assumed the movie is starting to fade down. But 2nd Saturday came in a huge surprise for the film. It did something many of the trade pundits couldn’t also predict.

It went on to multiply the business more than double and collected USD $ 1.41 million at the China box office. The movie now stands at the grand total of USD $ 28.20 million (184.06 crores). It would be interesting to see how the Sunday for the film will be. If the movie shows another big jump, then there’s no stopping for the film.

On Hindi Medium getting such an outstanding response in China, Producer Bhushan Kumar had something very good to say about it, “Whether it is the success of Hindi Medium in China or movies like Raid, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety doing such phenomenal business here, it only reinforces our belief that a good story is what connects with the audience. For us, the key decisions have been to pick stories that have a universal appeal. These are the fruits of those decisions and we are overwhelmed.”
Released in India on May 19, the story of Hindi Medium revolves around a couple who want to give their daughter the best education so that she becomes accepted by the elite.
The film also stars Pakistani actress Saba Qamar and Tanu Weds Manu fame actor Deepak Dobriyal. The second part of the film has also been announced.

Homi Adajania will be directing the sequel to Hindi Medium with Irrfan playing the lead. There is no word on Qamar getting back for the second part.
