Salman Khan who enjoyed his 1st 100 crores grosser Dabangg in 2010 got two 100 crores grossers in 2011. While his Ready did a business of 120 crores, Bodyguard reached close to 150 crores mark by doing a lifetime business of 142 crores. The Eid 2011 film was also Bollywood’s highest opener of All Time as it had an opening day of 20 crores plus.

Apart from these, Shah Rukh Khan enjoyed two 100 crores grossers Ra.One & Don 2. Though these films were expected to do much more than what they did. Ajay Devgn also hit a century with Singham in 2011. This was his 2nd century after Golmaal 3 in 2010.

Other good grosser of the year was Zindagi Na Meilegi Dobara which did a business of 90 crores and turned out to be a Plus affair. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, The Dirty Picture and Yamla Pagla Deewana also did well. Ranbir Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar did decently well.
