From Raj Kapoor’s Shree 420 To Dilip Kumar’s Devdas – Top Bollywood Box Office Grossers Of 1955

The year 1955 was very good for Dilip Kumar who gave not 2 or 3 but 4 big films which made a mark in the Top 10 grossers of that year. These 4 films were Azaad, Udaan Khatola, Insaaniyat and cult classic Devdas.

Raj Kapoor also did extremely well as his Shree 420 topped the chart. Dev Anand also gave two films which made place in the Top grossers chart. One was Insaaniyat which had him along with Dilip Kumar and other was Munimji.

On an overall basis it was just a fairly good year because not many films proved to be hits.
