Join UsAfter Mardaani, Rani Mukerji is back with another movie. This is Rani’s first movie after her marriage and her daughter Adira. Rani is back with a content driven movie Hichki. Rani Mukerji took the box office by storm as the power-packed policewoman in Mardaani in 2014 and then took time off for motherhood. She is back on silver screen with Hichki to do what she loves doing the most.
The story of Hichki revolves around the character of Rani, who turns her biggest weakness into her biggest strength. The story introduces us to Naina Mathur who has a neurological disorder called Tourette syndrome and dreams to be a teacher.
The movie has started slow at the box office. It started with an occupancy of 15%-20% at the box office. The movie has released worldwide in 1341 screens, which includes 961 screens in India and 380 screens overseas.
It will be interesting to see if the movie will work at the box office. The content of the movie is predictable but since it’s a strategy of the makers to release the movie in vacations it might do well with the kids.

The movie might pick up in the evening and night shows. Hichki is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and is produced by Yash Raj Films. It will be the 3rd film for Maneesh Sharma as a producer along with Yash Raj Films after Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Meri Pyaari Bindu.
