Happy New Year has been one of the most awaited films of the year. Being the Diwali release, this Shah Rukh Khan starrer is already getting huge responses through its advance bookings. Interestingly, looking at the early booking report, it seems that the film is set to have a massive opening and that trade pundits can expect a huge competition to beat Dhoom 3‘s highest opening record.
In Mumbai, the advance bookings opened on Wednesday and clearly the response has been huge as expected. The screen count is massive spread over the single screens and multiplexes. In Pune too, the film has already shown a housefull board for the morning shows at the multiplexes. In spite of high ticket rates, the film is getting a good response. In mass circuits like Rajasthan and West Bengal, the film is showing massive bookings and it seems it will be collecting a huge opening figure considering such responses.

Metros like Delhi and Bangalore too are having advance bookings in full swing and it seems that Happy New Year will be cashing in on the extended Diwali weekend well enough.
