Happy New Year dropped even more on 2nd Wednesday. The film collected 2.75 crores on its second Wednesday and now stands at a collection of 189.65 crores at the domestic box office. The film is slowly marching towards 200 crores and is expected to finish the second week around 192 crores.

Even though the film is performing extremely well in the overseas circuit, the film has been performing below its expectations in India. With the release of The Shaukeens (starring Akshay Kumar) this Friday, Happy New Year will suffer a lot considering the new film is a comedy and will seize a decent screen count too.

Attaining the 200 crore goal over the third weekend seems difficult for it.
