The women centric drama, Gulaab Gang had an average collection over the weekend. After a dull Saturday, the movie picked up a little on Day 3 i.e. 1st Sunday. Raking in 3.55 crores yesterday, the film after the completion of its opening weekend stands at a domestic total of just 8.85 crores at the box office.

The Madhuri Dixit Nene and Juhi Chawla starrer performed well mainly in UP and Rajasthan circuits. With a wider screen count compared to the other releases, the film received a good footfall in single screen theaters. However, the multiplexes did not make enough business.

Madhuri’s last release Dedh Ishqiya had made a business of 12 crores in its opening weekend! Seems Queen‘s release has affected Gulaab Gang’s business to a large extent. Had it not released alongside Gulaab Gang, it would have successfully managed to garner multiplex audience’s interest as well!
