Join UsThe box office numbers of this week’s adult comedy Grand Masti has taken the industry walahs (mainly the producers and distributors) and everyone by a sweet surprise! Grand Masti may have received bad to average reviews from the critics, but the audiences has undoubtedly liked the film, as this Indra Kumar directorial took a massive opening around 80-85% occupancy all over India on Friday i.e. Day 1 at the Domestic Box Office.
As per early estimates, the movie has raked in over 12 crores yesterday. Actual numbers are still being compiled and will be updated soon. Nevertheless, the collections are excellent considering a not-so-wide screen count. A wider screen count could have definitely helped the film to collect more moolah!
The film’s opening day numbers and the response was indeed shocking, in fact Mumbai, Delhi/UP, East Punjab, (where the film was earlier banned) West Bengal, Rajasthan, Mysore made excellent business.
The footfalls is expected to rise today and on Sunday. Grand Masti, thus, is all set for a grand opening weekend!
