It was a really good Monday for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire as 6 crores came in. The film had netted 12.60 crores on Friday, so this 50% hold is impressive, especially considering the fact that it had released on a partial holiday. In such a scenario, even if the film had netted 4-5 crores on Monday, it would have been a good score, and here it has actually gone ahead by a distance.
As a matter of fact, it was presumed that the film will slow down a bit on Monday since the day-on-day growth from Friday to Sunday wasn’t great. Of course, it was playing at high levels and collecting between 11-13 crores, which was quite good. Still, from 12.60 crores on Friday to a bit of a drop on Saturday when 11.85 crores came in and then a Sunday of 13.15 crores, it had seemed that on Monday, the drop will come at around 70%. This happened for Hollywood movies even when they are coming off a regular Friday, and here there was a partial holiday and still Monday is 6 crores*, which is quite good.

This has also brought the total of this Bollywood action biggie to 43.60 crores* and the film will come quite close to 50 crores mark today itself. Post that, there is one full week available for it before Eid biggies arrive, which means there is a very good chance that Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will go on to enter 100 Crore Club and emerge as a superhit.
