The big Hollywood release Godzilla released this week and started off on a good note. The 3D film received great response in the morning shows in India at the Box Office. The morning shows had as good as 80% occupancy in big cities where as over all the film had a 50% occupancy which is excellent considering the election results were to come out today.

This film performed well, mainly in the metros since it is aimed at the multiplex audience. If the elections results had not been scheduled on the same day, Godzilla could have experienced double the footfall it had. The film which had a successful prequel in 1998 was expected to cook up a storm with its reboot. The science fiction film with its 3D features is an amazing viewing experience which was missing in its last film.

Godzilla is expected to bring in good numbers over the opening weekend. The film will surely pick up and have a good footfall in the evening shows.
