Godzilla Has A Decent First Week At The Box Office Of India

The Hollywood’s big release Godzilla had quite a decent first week at the Box Office in India. The film collected approx 25 crores in its opening week, which is good for a Hollywood release. The 3D film was well received in the metro circuit.

The film could have done a much better business had it performed better in the weekdays too. The film which was a reboot of its first installment was expected to have major responses on account of its previous film’s success and also the new and improved 3D version. Nevertheless, Godzilla which released along with Bollywood’s The Xpose had a much better run at the India box office.

Now, with the big release of Hollywood’s superhero flick X-Men: Days Of Future Past, the business of Godzilla will surely be hampered. Also the Bollywood release Heropanti is expected to have good responses and a bigger screen count, thus resulting in a cut down on the shows for this film.
