Perhaps one of Dharma’s most simplistic ventures, Gippi maintains to be a tender tale tackling the adolescent issues. The film’s market is very limited, focusing mainly on the urban centres. Mostly a multiplex film, it clashed with it Goliath of a competitor that will easily outnumber its collections.
Yet, by the end of its first day, the film collected a domestic total of 75 lacs at the box office.
The film released smartly targeting the ongoing summer vacation, is expected to show better performance over the weekend. The investment on the venture hasn’t been much and hence it would easily recover its cost, earning its due share of small profits.
The film’s audience bracket is limited with its inability to invoke emotions from the older section of the audience. An all in all teenage film, mostly for girls, it is Sonam Nair sweetly told story that deserves a view.
