Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter continues to rake in numbers at the worldwide box office. Though the day-to-day collection is on the lesser side, it’s at least showing a steady trend. In the latest development, the film has now surpassed the lifetime of Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 and Hrithik’s own Bang Bang. Keep reading to know more!
The magnum opus marked the third collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and director Siddharth Anand. Previously, their Bang Bang and War turned out to be big successes, but this one has turned out to be an underachiever. No doubt, the numbers look good in isolation, but they are way too low for a film of such a huge scale and exorbitant cost.
Fighter’s run at the worldwide box office
Coming to the collection update, Fighter has amassed 206.50 crores at the Indian box office in 24 days. In gross, the amount is equal to 243.67 crores. Beats Drishyam 2 & Bang Bang!
With a score of 341.67 crores gross, Fighter has surpassed the lifetime collection of Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 (339.89 crores gross). It also crossed Bang Bang’s 340 crores gross and became Hrithik Roshan’s third highest-grossing film of all time at the worldwide box office. War (466.82 crores gross) and Krrish 3 (374 crores gross) are at the top of Hrithik’s highest-grossers list.
With a little more push earlier in the run, the film could have surpassed Krrish 3, but now, it’s really far away.
The next target is RRR’s Hindi version, which had grossed 342.12 crores globally. It will be crossed today, and after that, the Hrithik Roshan starrer might not be able to cross Bollywood grossers anymore on the worldwide chart.
Fighter’s run in India
Recently, the film crossed the lifetime collection of Aamir Khan-led 3 Idiots (202 crores net) at the Indian box office, and before the run ends, it might cross Salman Khan’s Bharat (211.07 crores net).
