Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw Review (Box Office): Expectations
Fast & Furious is a huge Hollywood franchise in India who’s last few films have done excellently well at the Box Office here. F&F 7 remains the best among all as it did a business of 110 crores and was the first Hollywood film to cross 100 crores mark in India. F&F 8 did less comparatively but it still managed to do 86 crores which is good.
F&F: Hobbs & Shaw starring The Rock & Jason Statham carries big expectations as well especially among the long list of fans in India so the film must do very good business.
Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw Review (Box Office): Impact
The franchise is known for its larger than life & stylish action sequences, comedy and emotions and I must say that it delivers, as far as action is concerned. There are some good comedy scenes between Dwayne & Jason which will be loved by the fans.
However, the film has its own weak points as the storyline disappoints big time and so does the emotions. The “World is in danger” formula is done to death in Hollywood flicks, but there should at least be good emotional triggers for this to work. The writers here have tried to trigger emotions by bringing in the family angle in subplots but it hardly works and looks forced mostly.
Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are a treat to watch on the big screen. Their screen presence is terrific and it won’t be wrong to say that they keep you interested and not question all the destruction they do on the big screen. Vanessa Kirby lends excellent support and she is so good in some brilliantly choreographed action sequences especially the one in which she fights with Dwayne. Idris Elba proves to be a strong villain and makes the action scenes look even more exciting.

Though there’s still something off about the film and it doesn’t come out to be as exciting and entertaining as expected.
Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw Review (Box Office): Prospects:
The film is off to a decent to good start at the Box Office. It will do a lifetime business somewhere in the 70-90 crores range.
