Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s Family Star has not been performing up to the mark right from the stage of advance booking. On the opening day, it took a slower start and remained miles away from the 10 crore mark. On day 2, it needed a jump at the box office, but that has not happened. Keep reading to know more!

Director Parasuram and Vijay have together deliver a huge blockbuster in the form of 2018’s Geetha Govindam, so expectations were high from this film. However, it just couldn’t pick up the momentum and remained low in all stages. It could be due to mixed word-of-mouth that the film failed to show any growth yesterday.

Talking about day 2 collection update, Family Star has earned an estimated 4.10 crores at the Indian box office. It had opened at 5.80 crores, so if compared, Saturday witnessed a drop of 29.31%, which is clearly not a good sign. If not jumped, the film could have at least remained steady, but here, it’s an alarming sign for the further theatrical journey.

Today, considering the Sunday factor, Family Star will see a steady trend and it will try to match the levels of the opening day, as that’s the minimum expectation now. If the collection remains lower than the opening day, then it’s literally game over for the film and Monday will further show a disastrous drop.

Including the estimated collection of day 2, Family Star stands at 9.90 crores at the Indian box office. It’s a very low total, and the film is heading for a weekend collection of around 15 crores.
