Fact-O-Meter: Keanu Reeves Would Have Been Part Of Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel But His Fans Would Have Had To Suffer A Bit

There’s no denial, Brie Larson rocked 2019 with her biggie, Captain Marvel. The film emerged as a huge commercial success. But just imagine, it would have been much better and bigger if Keanu Reeves would have been part of it. Don’t you think?

Yes, many of you might be aware of the fact that the John Wick actor was supposed to be part of Captain Marvel. In fact, he had almost made it to the cast. He was finalised for the role of Yon-Rogg. But then what happened, that led Keanu to leave the project and hand it over to Jude Law? Well, read on to know more.

Reportedly, it was learnt that Keanu Reeves had to leave Captain Marvel for a very important project. And that was John Wick 3. The dates of both the films were clashing and the actor opted for the latter. As John Wick revamped Keanu’s filmy career, he remained loyal to the franchise.

The reports were concreted with the tweet of Justin Kroll from Variety. As per his tweet, Keanu Reeves had to pass Captain Marvel to Jude Law in 2017, due to clashing schedules of Brie Larson starrer and his iconic franchise.

If the actor would have gone for Captain Marvel, the fans had to wait a bit longer for John Wick 3.

Meanwhile, back in June, Keanu Reeves made a rare appearance with his girlfriend Alexandra Grant as he headed off to meet his co-stars of “The Matrix 4“.

The couple was seen at Berlin’s Schonefeld Airport, reports mirror.co.uk.

Reeves was seen smiling widely as he and his girlfriend met up with his co-stars Neil Patrick Harris and Carrie-Ann Moss.
