Fact-O-Meter: Did You Know? Tom Hardy Got Inked Over A Bet With His The Revenant Co-Star Leonardo DiCaprio

A lot of times while working on the project, co-stars tend to develop an amazing off-screen camaraderie. A same could be recalled for Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy during The Revenant.

Directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, The Revenant had a successful inning upon its release in 2015. The film was a huge commercial success and offered something fresh to the critics too. Both Leo and Tom were praised for their brilliant performances. We guess Leo was already aware that his co-star is on its way to deliver a memorable performance as he trapped him with a unique bet.

Post the film’s grand success, Leonardo DiCaprio betted with Tom Hardy. The Inception actor was confident that Tom would be nominated for 2016’s Oscar. However, The Dark Knight Rises actor had contrasting views with his co-star. Further, the duo set up a bet with a condition that whoever wins would prompt the other one to get inked.

And as we know, in 2016’s Oscar, Tom Hardy was nominated in Best Supporting Actor category. So eventually, he ended up getting inked and the text that Leonardo DiCaprio provided was hilarious as hell. Tom got inked on his arms with a quote reading “Leo Knows All”. Funny isn’t it?

Speaking about the same, Tom Hardy had said, “He (Leonardo DiCaprio) would never get a tattoo if he lost that bet! It was just one-way. I’m covered in shit tattoos anyway, so it doesn’t make any difference to me. If I got a big bold ‘Leo’ right across my thigh or across my face. It’s just that, isn’t it? You bet a tattoo, you lose. That’s what happens,” as per the report in Vanity Fair.
