In a career spanning for almost 8 years, Alia Bhatt has truly come on her own in the industry. Earlier, she used to be part of the talks mostly due to nepotism or highly talked about IQ. But lately, she has emerged one of the most-sought-after actress of Bollywood.
Not only her acting skills improved but Alia Bhatt even proved her mettle on the commercial front. She is amongst the most bankable actress at the present time. She has worked in 13 films till now and out of which only 2 have flopped at the box office. But do you know, the Gully Boy actress enjoyed a streak of 6 successes in a row? And it was last year’s debacle Kalank which disrupted her record run.
After her 2015 release Shaandaar tanked at the ticket windows, we got to see an impressive script selection from Alia Bhatt. Post Shaandaar, she appeared in Kapoor & Sons (2016), Udta Punjab (2016), Dear Zindagi (2016), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), Raazi (2018), Gully Boy (2019) and Kalank (2019). It was only Kalank which turned out as a disappointment commercially. Other films made healthy profits, in fact, from Badrinath to Gully Boy, she enjoyed a hat-trick of 100 crore grossers.

Speaking in particular about Kalank, the film which had Alia Bhatt along with Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit & Kunal Kemmu despite taking a splendid start didn’t manage to set the cash registers ringing. Thanks to the high budget, the final verdict of the film was a flop despite making 81 crores’ lifetime.
Nonetheless, it’s simply amazing how Alia Bhatt enjoyed a remarkable run with 6 back-to-back successes and concreted her position in the industry.
