Though Salman’s last two Eid extravaganzas – Tubelight (121.25 crores) and Race 3 (169 crores) didn’t work in his favour still it managed to do well at the box office.
Now with Bharat, everyone is eyeing on its content and BLOCKBUSTER Khan. Also, there are huge hopes pinned on the trio of Salman + Katrina + Ali. Now according to our reliable sources, even after being an Eid release, the makers haven’t hiked the prices of tickets unlike films like Thugs of Hindostan, Zero and Kalank did. It is being said that Salman is not in favour of the ticket hike which happens because of the industry’s trends. The reason behind his decision is that he wants his audience to come, watch and enjoy the film in huge numbers. In the past too, tickets rates of his films weren’t hiked as per the industry norms, and he made sure that the film grabs maximum eyeballs.
“It has become a norm to increase the ticket prices for every big film that releases to get in maximum money in the opening weekend. However, Salman Khan is of the opinion that the tickets should be reasonably priced to make cinema going experience affordable for his viewers. Even in the past, he has spoken against the ticket hike practices, and this time around, he has taken a strong stance against the norm. He is among the very few superstars who don’t believe in hiking rates,” revealed a source close to the development.

The source further added that the distributors, as well as stars, had asked cinema owners to adapt to optimum pricing for films like Dangal, Thugs of Hindostan, Zero to name a few. While Thugs of Hindostan went to release with the highest average price per ticket, the rates for Bharat fall somewhere in the range of Simmba. “The rate is lower than Kalank, which was priced 10% higher than the usual norms. Being Eid, Salman and his team want more and more viewers to visit the cinema hall,” the source concluded.
Well, that’s so thoughtful of Bhai and indeed a sweet gesture for his audiences!
The release is just 5 days away and the buzz of the film has taken the internet by storm. Also, considering the World Cup match on the same day, it might affect a bit but all the Salman fans are like – “Ek baar jo humne commitment kar di, uske baad toh hum apne aap ki bhi nahi sunte.”
