Endhiran, the original Tamil version of Robot (dubbed), is creating magic in Tamilnadu. Tickets have been priced at Rs. 1,500 in the top class in some multiplexes down South. The surprising part is that in spite of such high admission rates, tickets are selling like hot cakes. In fact, there are a number of multiplexes and cinemas in Madras and other cities of the South, where all the shows for first 10 days are full in advance!

‘Endhiran’ is well on its way to becoming the biggest Tamil grosser ever. Although the total investment in the film and its Telugu and Hindi dubbed versions – both titled ‘Robot’ – is Rs. 160 crore, the costliest Indian film would recover the investment as the share of the Tamil version alone from all-India is expected to be in the region of Rs. 100 crore plus!
