Ek Villain after its 3rd week at the box office now rests 105.50 crores beating Alia Bhatt-Arjun Kapoor starrer 2 States‘ box office numbers. The Mohit Suri film took everyone by surprise when it challenged the opening day collections of the year’s highest opener, Salman Khan’s Jai Ho. Though 2 States did a commendable thing when it entered the 100 crore club with such ease, Ek Villain upped the bar with fluid ease.
Ek Villain that starred Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor now stands as the third highest grosser of 2014 after Holiday that rests at lifetime total of 112.65 crores and Jai Ho that rests at a lifetime total 111 crores.
