Join UsAjay Devgn starrer Drishyam, which took a slow opening in the morning, showed a decent escalation in the evening and late night shows yesterday. As per early estimates, the film managed to rake in around 8 crores on Day 1 i.e. 1st Friday at the Domestic Box Office.
The collections are quite average for a film which stars Devgn as a lead face. However, the film had got a screen count of 2365 and considering the occupancy that it witnessed the entire day, the collections are fare enough.
Drishyam also had paid previews on Thursday, that made a business of 50 lakhs nett approx. The film has chances to pick up today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday), as the word of mouth is not really negative as such!
