The latest released political thriller of Kabir Khan, Phantom starring Saif Ali Khan has fared decently in its first weekend due to big jump it got on a partial holiday of Rakshabandhan. Based on Hussain Zaidi’s, ‘Mumbai Avengers’ the review of Phantom has got an average rating from critics or called as a ‘One-Time’ watch.
It will be interesting to see how Phantom performs in weekdays and moreover in its 2nd week, as Welcome Back is releasing this Friday. The Anees Bazmee film has a huge star cast and benefits from the goodwill of 1st part Welcome.

A Distributor based in Delhi said, that the opening weekend of ‘Phantom‘ was decent because of back to back holidays (Saturday and Sunday) & the release of ‘Welcome Back‘ will definitely affect ‘Phantom‘.
Distributor based in Bangalore said that the film didn’t received big opening & didn’t fared well as the reviews are mixed. He further added that the release of ‘Welcome Back‘ will definitely affect the business of ‘Phantom‘.
Distributor based in Mumbai said that the collections are “Okay” but the business is overall not that great!
Brijesh Tandon, a distributor based in Delhi said that, ‘Phantom‘ has received decent opening & saw a good jump on 2nd & 3rd day due to holiday. The reports are average & the release of ‘Welcome Back‘ will affect the business of ‘Phantom‘ as ‘Welcome Back‘ has big star cast & goodwill of 1st part.
