Dear Zindagi Collects On The Lower Side On Its 2nd Friday At The Box Office

Dear Zindagi has collected 2.25 crore more on its second Friday. With this, the numbers stand at 49.25 crore. Though overall the numbers look good, considering the fact that a film of this genre, narrative and treatment has its own limitations, the fact also remains that when compared to its opening day [8.75 crore], this is a fall indeed.

It is quite apparent that after Shahrukh Khan’s stardom pulled audience in theaters on the opening weekend, the content of the film hasn’t really seen appreciation from all quarters hitting the roof, and this is reflecting in the slowing down of collections with every passing day.

Of course with not much of a competition in the second weekend, the film should see some rise in numbers today and tomorrow. At the time of writing this, the film would be pretty much crossing the 50 crore mark.

However, the difference between the film just about crossing the 65 crore mark or managing to touch the 70 crore would depend on the jumps that are shown over this weekend. Basically, there is just one more week for the film to gain some moolah as Befikre arrives next week and that would take up the majority of multiplex screens.
