But, Karan himself clarified that Vijay is not ready to star in it and no star has been approached yet. But, the Telugu film has been released and opened to mixed reviews. The movie, as per early trends of day 2, has the worldwide share in the range of 16-18 crores.

Adding up the estimates of both the days, the total worldwide share stands in the range 34-36 crores. Yes, a good jump on day 2 was expected but it seems we’ll have to wait for the Sunday figures to come in.
Our in-house reviewer Umesh Punwani gave the movie three stars, saying “Dear Comrade consists of yet another bombastic performance by Vijay Deverakonda. It’s nothing less than a treat to his girl-fans. Had much scope of improvement but still recommended for Vijay & Rashmika.”
