Deadpool: 1st Week Collections At The Box Office In India

The American super-hero flick Deadpool starring Ryan Reynolds in the titular role, has performed better than Bollywood film Fitoor in its opening week in India. The film collected 1.60 crores on its 7th day i.e on Thursday and now stands with the total collection of 22.52 crores.

The film, which released on February 12 in time for Valentine’s Day, has minted a total of Rs.14.25 crore (Friday Rs.4.1 crore, Saturday Rs.4.9 crore, Sunday Rs.5.25 crore). The remained steady over the week with – Mon 2.87 cr, Tue 2.10 cr, Wed 1.70 cr, Thu 1.60 cr.

Deadpool which is directed by Tim Miller also stars Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller, Gina Carano and Brianna Hildebrand in key roles. Based on Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, “Deadpool” tells the story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humour, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
