Crew Box Office Collection Day 8 (Early Trends): Scores A Half Century, Ready To Show A Healthy Jump Today!

Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon’s Crew ended its opening week on a good note and just missed the milestone of 50 crores. Coming from the first week, the film was expected to stay steady on its second Friday, but instead, it witnessed an upward trend, which clearly indicates that a healthy second weekend is definitely on the cards. In the post-pandemic era, many big commercial entertainers have tanked at ticket windows, and during such a period, a women-centric film exceeding all expectations is truly commendable, to say the least. Before the release, there were minimal expectations from the Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon starrer. However, right from the opening day itself, the collection has been surprising.

Talking about the collection update, Crew grew on day 8, and as per early trends flowing in, 3.50-3.90 crores have been earned. On Thursday, the film raked in 3.12 crores, so when compared, it’s a growth of 12.17-25% on the second Friday. Including this estimated collection, the film has scored a half-century, taking the total to 51.04-51.44 crores at the Indian box office.

Today, as there’s no major Bollywood film running in theatres, Crew is all set to display strong growth, and it’s very possible that the collection will hit the 5 crore mark. If that happens, Sunday will have a chance to stay over 6 crores. So, after the second weekend, this heist comedy will come close to the mark of 65 crores.

After the opening weekend performance, Crew was expected to go above 85 crores at the Indian box office, but now, it’s a wait-and-watch game. The drops were bigger than expected during weekdays, due to which, it’ll need to cover the distance before two Eid releases arrive in theatres. From here, the film has only 4 days to earn most of its collection as Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will take away maximum screens Wednesday onwards.
