After taking the third best opening of 2024 and then also enjoying the third best weekend, Crew has now also scored the third best week of the year at the Box Office. Though Fighter and Shaitaan were in the first two spots, the competition was primarily with Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. There was a considerable distance between the two films on the first day and then over the weekend but then as the week progressed, the gap started becoming lesser and lesser. In fact after seven days, it’s just a few lakhs that separates the two films.
This is how the Top-10 best Week One/first seven days of 2024 look like:
- Fighter – 143.85 crores
- Shaitaan – 81.60 crores
- Crew – 47.54 crores*
- Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya – 47.18 crores
- Article 370 – 38.82 crores
- Yodha – 26.09 crores
- HanuMan [Hindi] – 24.69 crores
- Madgaon Express – 13.83 crores
- Merry Christmas – 13.35 crores
- Crackk – 12.50 crores
While Fighter scored a century and Shaitaan too covered a very good distance, Crew has just missed out on scoring a half-century in one week flat. Chances are that it would manage to do that today itself, though it would have been real fun had that happened yesterday itself. In that aspect, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya did well enough to reach 47.18 crores after taking a much lesser start of 7.02 crores. Hence, it would be interesting to see how the second week’s trend looks like.
There is an open weekend ahead so that would give an advantage to the Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon-starrer. However, its run would be impacted big on Wednesday once Eid releases Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan arrive.
