Chennai Express continued its phenomenal business even on on its 3rd week. In fact, the Saturday-Sunday business picked up even more. As per early estimates, the film’s 3rd weekend earnings stands in the range of 10 crores approx. The summation of film’s total collections now stands at 211 crores approx at the domestic box office.

Shattering all prevailing box office records of all times, trade gurus are happy with the film that has emerged as an overwhelming trendsetter at the box office; and still earning at a good pace. Though Madras Cafe opened this week with great reviews from critics, the film is targetted at only a selective social strata mainly the intelligentsia. A largely commercial film, Chennai Express is getting repeat audience for its mass based appeal!
